The multi-density EPS is a single piece that allows Arai to provide protection where it is needed most while still providing a sleek low profile helmet. Performance The Variable Axis System VAS provides a pivot point for the face shield that moves so the face shield can be mounted lower on the helmet while still having enough clearance to open the face shield. The VAS Shield Latch System holds the face shield securely closed or it can be opened slightly to allow venting. The top padding cannot be removed but cheek pads can be removed for cleaning or replacement.
