Three individual straight Bourbons are finished separately in casks that previously held pear brandy Jamaican rum and Sicilian amaro blended and then bottled at 112.1 proof. Their hunt for the ideal balance of flavors has clearly paid off. Incredibly aromatic its nose revolves between pear drop vanilla flower pale caramel and dried leaves. The palate also shows pear alongside mixed berries clove and anise singed sugar and Chinese five spice wrapped in a sense of tropical fruit. Something truly original and a delight for anyone looking to see what’s next on the Bourbon horizon.
