JBL 306p MK II Studio monitors are the best bang for the buck I ve seen so far with maybe some lower priced behringers being less expensive but not quite as good. Going from playing into a PA or headphones with your helix axe fx or kemper or whatever digital synth or guitar effects amp modeling you use it just sounds so much better and more like you intend it to sound than the others. Being able to make it sound good on monitors is all you really have to do as long as the sound guy can mix a direct guitar that sounds studio quality your job it should be perfect.
