Ergonomics The T8V impresses with a multitude of features that bring real benefits to the user- The U-ARTs 4-1 velocity transfer ratio in combination with the new Class D amplifiers high dynamic range yields respective max. peak SPL of 118 dB per pair. The tweeter which extends up to 25 kHz works as a team with the HPS waveguide. This allows optimal radiation of the high frequencies which means the advantage of a more controlled larger usable sweet spot during monitoring. With a bass extension down to 33 Hz the T8V is especially suitable for users who produce bass-heavy music. U-ART High-Frequency Driver The new U-ART 1.9-inch accelerated ribbon tweeter as used in the T Series is made of a high-tech polyimide film and provides pristine and extended high-frequency response up to 25 kHz virtually unheard of in monitors in this price range and a breakthrough solution for use in high-resolution recording and mixing on a budget. Unlike a conventional dome or cone tweeter that uses a piston action to move air and reproduce sound the U-ART tweeter uses a pleated ribbon that alternately draws air into its folds and squeezes it out as the folds respectively expand apart and press together in response to the inputted audio signal.
