When Pure Direct mode is activated the signal bypasses the circuits for bass and treble control balance and amplifier buffers. This improves sound quality without compromising maximum output power. The shortening of the signal path increases the acoustic purity and enables the reproduction of even the finest musical nuances. The ToP-ART concept Total Purity Audio Reproduction Technology guarantees excellent sound in combination with the ART Base. Because only if both the processing and the transmission of the audio signals are designed simply and directly can the influence of noise and distortion be minimized. The Yamaha technology for this amplifier design is called ToP-ART. It consists of a fully symmetrical structure from input to output whereby left and right channels are processed with the shortest possible signal paths. This guarantees outstanding sound with unadulterated clarity. The ART Anti-Resonance and Tough Base housing underside as well as the solid centre rail provide additional stability and damp vibrations. These design innovations from Yamaha also contribute to excellent audio reproduction with excellent musicality.
