Black Diamond Alpine Carbon Z poles deliver reliable 4-season performance in a lightweight and ‘foldable’ design. Innovative construction enables them to collapse down smaller and weigh far less than traditional carbon trekking poles. The Z-Pole Rapid Deployment System consists of a concealed inner cord and a single push-button release. Borrowed from Black Diamond’s tested avalanche probes a center cord provides surprising strength and stability. Similar to tent poles the sections snap securely into place resulting in weight savings and increased collapsibility that enables them to take up far less packed space than traditional poles. NOTE Though collapsible Alpine Carbon Z poles are only available in fixed lengths 100 cm 110 cm 120 cm or 130 cm lengths and do not provide an adjustability range. Natural cork grips serve as tactile ergonomic hand holds and an extended-length design provides a place to choke up on side hill traverses without having to constantly make height adjustments. Padded and adjustable webbing straps help to reduce stress on your wrists. Two set of tips are included. Carbide tips deliver solid traction for trails or ice. Non-marking rubber tips can be used to prevent trail damage and provide grip and durability. Broad diameter baskets allow the poles to perform well even in snow.
