The Breakthrough 77mm X4 Circular Polarizing Filter filters out polarized light and saturates the sky and foliage in your images. This 46mm CPL filter was designed to provide amazing neutral performance that prevents color casts and reduces exposure by 1 photo stop thanks to the 2x filter factor. Two different coatings were used: a nano-surface coating that is water repellent for easy cleaning and a so-called “multi-resistant coating” that reduces reflections and increases the durability of the glass.Circular polarizing filters can reduce reflections such as from water and glass and improve the sharpness of shadows in situations with a wide dynamic range. The X4 CPL filter combines these effects with a rugged design intended for outdoor use. It is made of Schott B270 glass and a sturdy brass frame. The sides of the filter are knurled for a better grip when mounting or removing the filter and the 77mm front thread allows stacking of filters and use of optional accessories.
