Savoy Vase 6.25″ by Alvar Aalto for Iittala Designed by Alvar Aalto in 1936 for Karhula the vase was based on a woman’s dress and formed by the traditional manner of blowing glass into a wet wooden mold. The vase became known as the Savoy vase due to it being included in a project for the Savoy restaurant in Helsinki. It also was included in the Paris Exhibition that same year. 9.2″ x 8.8″ x 6.25″h.
