The Dunlop 2021 CX 400 Tour Tennis Racquet is a new racquet in the CX lineup and it represents a good middle ground between the CX 200 and 400 models. Sonic Core with Infinergy is embedded in the 10 and 2 oclock positions of the head to increase power improve comfort and reduce shock. The 16×19 string pattern features Dunlops Power Grid String technology which widens the main strings for more power while making the cross strings more dense for better control. The technology gives the CX 400 Tour a more potent sweetspot. To make the racquet even more comfortable Dunlop incorporated Flex Booster a high elasticity vibration dampening layer in the shaft. The result is a 5% reduction in shaft stiffness and a 10% reduction in vibration. Flex Booster enhances the comfort of the CX 400 Tour while the slightly thicker 23 millimeter beam provides more power and stability. The CX 400 Tour features a firmer flex of 67 a spin-friendly 16×19 string pattern and a 100 square inch head. The CX 400 Tour is a half ounce heavier than the CX 400 so it should be a good racquet for an aggressive baseliner who doesnt want to sacrifice comfort for power and control.
