The Gator Recoil is a low profile retractable tonneau cover that is constructed of rigid aluminum panels and comes in a UV-resistant matte black finish. This cover utilizes a sealed ball bearing roller design that allows the cover to open and close without the use of a spring or any mechanisms that can possibly fail. To operate the cover drop the tailgate and pull the grip latch on either side of the bed. Pulling the grip latch releases the cover from the first latch stop so you can push it to the second. The second latch stop is fully adjustable as you can move the cover anywhere along the rail that you choose. For more bed access pull the grip latch again and push the cover to the last latch stop. The cover is fully secured at any one of these latch stops and you can drive down the road with peace of mind. To close the cover pull the grip latch again and pull the cover all the way to the tailgate. Paired with a locked tailgate the cover cannot be opened providing an added level of security for your cargo. While no tonneau cover is 100% waterproof the Gator Recoil does a great job of keeping water out of the bed of your truck. Any water captured on top is going to funnel down your rails into the canister and out of the truck bed with provided drain tubes. Installation is fairly easy with no drilling and can be completed in about an hour.
