Inspired by the gently curved petals of cherry blossom the shape of the smallest of the Bloom bowls is striking enough on its own but just as chic as a centerpiece grouped with other bowls or used to present small servings of food or snacks. Helle Damkjrs much-loved Bloom collection for Georg Jensen showcases her talent as a designer with its minimalism and understated Scandinavian style. After establishing his company in Copenhagen in 1904 Georg Jensen set out to create democratic designs possessing both functionality and beauty. Embracing the Art Nouveau lines of the day his work is characterized by serene flowing forms enriched by exquisitely sculpted ornamentation and his own distinctive vigor. Those same ideas and principles of the master himself are translated into the Georg Jensen design of the present day. Designed by Helle Damkjr.
