Goodyear is one of the worlds largest tire companies. It employs about 64000 people and manufactures its products in 48 facilities in 22 countries around the world. Its two Innovation Centers in Akron Ohio and Colmar-Berg Luxembourg strive to develop state-of-the-art products and services that set the technology and performance standard for the industry. Goodyears winged-foot trademark was inspired by a newel-post statuette of the Roman god Mercury in the home of Goodyear founder Frank Seiberling. Seiberling felt Mercury embodied many of the characteristics for which Goodyear products were known.
- Multiple biting edges offer all season traction on different road conditions.
- Optimized tread pattern controls external noise.
- Wide circumferential grooves evacuate water effectively and resist hydroplaning.
- Stable shoulder blocks offer confident dry and wet handling.
- Polyester cord body and twin steel belts improve strength and durability.
