Add timeless roosting sites to your martin colony with these Heath Crescent Starling Resistant Entrance Hole Two-Piece Martin Gourds. Purple martins have nested in natural gourds for centuries and this package lets you offer an abundance of this housing style. The 2 pieces of these molded plastic gourds interlock and an included screw at the top keeps them connected. Birds can enter through the 2.125″ long and 1.375″ tall crescent-shaped opening for easy starling-resistant access. 7″ diameter interior nesting cavity gives birds ample comfortable nesting space. Molded canopy above the entry keeps rain away from the cavity and small gaps provide drainage. Tall neck directs warm air upward away from fledglings for a cool home. Run a perching rod through each gourds molded hole and place on a gourd rack not included. The bottom of each entry can be removed to form a 2.125″ diameter round opening. Assembly required.
