The open Android 11 operating system makes installing and using apps particularly easy. Also pre-installed is the user-friendly Mango Player app which clearly organises and plays music stored on the DX170. The many equaliser settings in the Mango app can be used to fine-tune the sound to individual preferences. Audio files can be stored on the 32GB internal memory. If necessary the memory can be expanded with a microSD card. In addition to WiFi for using streaming services the DX170 is also equipped with Bluetooth for wireless music playback to Bluetooth headphones or speakers. The DX170 can also function as a Bluetooth receiver to play music wirelessly. In addition it can be used as a USB DAC and provide better sound quality on the computer. The menu navigation is very intuitive and the rimless high-contrast five-inch touchscreen display delights with its excellent resolution and colour fidelity. The easy-to-grip rotary dial on the right side of the DX170 allows precise volume adjustment. The buttons on the side can also be used to pause play fast-forward and rewind music without visual contact. The high-quality aluminium housing with the slightly curved back fits perfectly in the hand and has the necessary robustness for daily use on the road.
