Designed by Alvar Aalto in 1936 for Karhula the vase was based on a woman’s dress and formed by the traditional manner of blowing glass into a wet wooden mold. The vase became known as the Savoy vase due to it being included in a project for the Savoy restaurant in Helsinki. It also was included in the Paris Exhibition that same year. 6.96″ x 6.8″ x 4.75″ h. Available in clear white salmon pink rain emerald or desert glass.
