The CURT Air Ride 5th wheel pin box serves as a guard between the tow vehicle and RV suspending the impact of road shock and stabilizing the towing performance. Its built-in shock protects the air bag from destruction by recoiling the pin box and handling the rebound or bounce effect then positions the pin box to be ready for the next bump or impact. The Air Ride’s unique scissor-like movement allows the pin box to compress vertically absorbing road shock and vibration and ultimately providing cushion for a smoother ride. The Air Ride has a gross trailer weight of 21000 lbs. and is designed to replace Lippert 1116 5th wheel pin boxes. It uses the same bolts as the original pin box so no additional hardware is needed to install it. Simply take it out of the box and hook it on to your trailer as it comes completely assembled and ready for installation. The Air Ride is constructed with high-strength steel and a black powder coat finish that protects against rust giving you the power to tow steadily through all the adventures that lie ahead.
