Lights are a commonplace item on your bike with more and more daytime running lights popping up over the past few years. Lumos liked the idea of daytime running lights and the way they enhancing your visibility. They also thought there was scope to add an extra element of visibility: lights visible at and above drivers eye level.There is a total of 48 integrated LEDs on the Lumos helmet with a white set at the front and a red set at the back. Also at the rear of the helmet are two sets of amber LEDs which can be used as turn signals. These are turned on and off by a wireless remote mounted to your handlebars. The lights lasts about 3 hours on constant and 6 hours on flashing. The battery is rechargeable and the whole unit is weather sealed.Whilst lights are a key part of this helmet the helmet part of the package has received equal amounts of attention. The fit is comfortable with generous padding used throughout. There is an adjustable retention system at the back to make sure the Lumos fits snug to your head.
