The KMS 105 is a delightful microphone having a comfortable size and is relatively immune to handling noises and has superb resistance to feedback from monitors and front of house PA. The excellent quality Neumann capsule has a supercardioid polar response which varies little with frequency. The microphone has superb rear rejection of over 15dB across the stated frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz. The KMS105 is an excellent condenser microphone suitable for use both on the stage and in the studio. Neutral frequency response with a very slight presence boost works well on almost any acoustic instrument. The ability to sustain ridiculously high SPL’s makes this a great snare drum and high hat mic. It sounds great on strings saxophones trumpets vocals- whatever you throw at it.
