The Shimano XTR CS-M9101 cassettes are designed to meet the needs of the most demanding mountain bikers. Thanks to an inventive construction with a ‘Beam Spider’ as Shimano calls it this cassette has optimal strength paired with significant weight savings. The spider and three largest sprockets are made of aluminium sprockets 5-9 are made of titanium and sprockets 1-4 are made of steel. In this way Shimano has found the optimal weight/strength ratio. The cassette also features Shimano’s Hyperglide+ technology which ensures fast smooth and precise gear shifts and the drivetrain does exactly what you want it to do.
