The sharp and narrow tooth profile as well as the rounded inclined edges support the chain guide. To provide the best possible performance even on muddy terrain the X-SYNC chainrings have recesses for removing dirt and mud from the inner chain links and rollers. The X-SYNC chainrings manufactured in Germany are an important component of the 1x drive from Sram.
