Also the 10 inch large search coil guarantees your detection efficiency even when you are in shallow waters so that you and your child can pack the detector and travel to your treasure hunting spots like the seaside beach stream etc. Please note that the control box is not waterproof. Our metal detector comes with 4 different metal detection modes where the all metal mode will signal you on every occasion that it detects any metal then the DISC mode where 5 targets like the bottle cap foil 5 cents pull tab can be eliminated then the notch mode to discriminate against foil 5 cents pull tab and 1 cent ignoring garbage and the unwanted objects and lastly the pinpoint mode to locate the targets more accurately.
