The Virobloc Safety Rings were invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955 and are fitted to their folding Opinel knives. In addition to locking the blade open for safety while in use, you can also lock the blade closed for safety on the go.
Their genuine moose antler is found, hand carved, and fitted for each Opinel handle in the US. Every piece is different due to the organic nature of the moose antler.
Carbon steel needs to be kept out of damp environments, and the blade should be cleaned and dried after every use.
